CMS Interface

Not every site will have every CMS feature enabled, and not every 'administrator' will have the same levels of access or privileges.

There are 3 major sections of the CMS admin pages: header, item list, and item details.

Header

The header area contains links to each major section of the site.

Typically, this includes:

Select one of these editable areas to display a list of its items along the left side of your screen.

The default page contents (shown in the large white area of the admin page) often describes what the section does and may allow you to specify general settings that define the scope of the entire section.

Item List

List columnThe Item List is displayed in the left hand side of your screen. It shows a list of the items in this section and links their names to display detailed information about them.

Item Details

Item detailsSelecting an item from the list displays its detailed information in the large white area of the admin page. Interfacing with this area provides a web form (or series of forms) which you can use to make and submit changes.

Specific actions within these forms are often triggered by using the embedded icons. View a brief description of these icons and actions that can be triggered.
