Emails

The CMS will periodically be required to send preformatted email messages to its users (individuals signed up as “People”). Email messages can be created or edited here. Automatic messages (like the ‘Temporary Password’ message that assists the user in gaining access if they’ve forgotten their existing password) are stored here. Messages can also be sent manually to a single person or a group of people as needed.

A message can contain both text and HTML content (displaying appropriately as the recipient’s system allows), and each as unique requirements and coding styles. Advanced HTML (e.g. CSS layouts) should not be used in the HTML area as CSS parsing is unpredictable across email clients.

If editing a message, use care (and ample testing) to ensure your message is accurate and contains all the requisite information.
