Modules

The Modules area in the admin gives you the ability to add/edit/delete data that is stored outside of pods. Typically, data that is stored this way is displayed in a highly structured manner with unique and/or automatic behaviors.

In most cases, this special data is displayed by placing a related function pod on the appropriate front-end page.

Modules are also employed to handle integration with 3rd party tools. Because modules hold and deliver specialized, content data can be imported or sent to external sites or systems. Most of the CMS sites built by ddm either import some content from or export content to external systems.
